Take Change One Step, One Day at a Time – Manage Addiction

Take Change One Step, One Day at a Time

A Chinese proverb says “one step at a time is a good walk.”  And indeed, it is the only way to walk!

You may feel overwhelmed by all the changes you need to make in your life.  You are working on overcoming your addiction and, at the same time, hearing and thinking about other changes you need to make to your life to get healthy.

But you don’t need to do it all at once.  You just need to do what’s in front of you right now … whether that is eating a good, healthy meal … or sitting down to do your journaling … or focusing on quieting your mind as a way to get through a moment of feeling overwhelmed.

One step at a time.  That’s all.  You’ve already done the hardest thing by committing to doing the tough — but gratifying — work of overcoming your addiction.  Trust us – we know how to help you through this.  Trust your new friends, who are with you every step of the way.  And trust yourself.  One step – one minute, one day – at a time.
